Basseterre: The Nation's Capital

The capital of St. Kitts, Basseterre, has experienced floods, earthquakes, hurricanes and fires. But it is still one of the most historical cities in the entire Caribbean today. This city is located on the Southeastern side of the island, nestled between the Bird Rock Hills and the Southeast Mountain range. Located on the Western side of Basseterre, Fort Lands is home to two of St. Kitts' most beautiful hotels. The Ocean Terrace Inn and the Fort Thomas Hotel and Resort sit on this cliff side over looking the Basseterre harbour with views of the South East Peninsula and Nevis.

Also located at Fort Lands, is OTI's Fisherman's Wharf Seafood Restaurant. This world famous seafood grill restaurant is opened nightly for dinner with live entertainment on Friday nights. When there, tell Chef Lyn I sent you.
