Port
Zante
This
newly constructed state of the art cruise ship port, lies on 25 acres of
reclaimed land in the Basseterre harbour. It is capable of accommodating
up to four cruise ships simultaneously and also includes a marina which
can take yachts up to 70 feet in length. Some of the features this port
will have to offer are duty free shops, plazas, restaurants, a hotel and
a casino.
Fort
Lands
Located
on the Western side of Basseterre, Fort Lands is home to two of St.
Kitts' most beautiful hotels. The Ocean Terrace Inn and the Fort Thomas
Hotel and Resort sit on this cliff side over looking the Basseterre
harbour with views of the South East Peninsula and Nevis.
Also located at Fort Lands is
OTI's Fisherman's Wharf Seafood Restaurant. This world famous
seafood grill restaurant is opened nightly for dinner with live
entertainment on Friday nights.
The
Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport
This
airport located about 10 minutes drive outside of Basseterre, is due for
completion in June 1998. It was originally called "Golden Rock
Airport" but was renamed in light of its EC$40 million expansion.
This fully air-conditioned airport will be able to accommodate up to 400
passengers at once. Some of the new features at the airport are
additional departure gates, improved baggage handling and a new 100 seat
restaurant.
